Top 3 Tips from the January issue

  1. FAKE A FRESH LOOK… EVEN WHEN YOU’RE TIRED
“The trick to looking rejuvenated at the end of a tiring day is through the magic of make-up,” says The Weekly’s Beauty and Fashion Editor, Melati Kesuma. Here’s what you need:
*A concealer to camouflage under-eye dark circles.
*A white line along your inner eye line.
*Black mascara to open up your tired eyes.
*Coral blusher on your cheeks for an instant healthy glow.

  2. HOW TO DRESS CHIC EFFORTLESSLY
Update your style with a few easy rules throughout the year:
Camouflage it! Hide imperfections with the right shape and style. For instance, if you have heavy arms, opt for tops with angel wings or if you've got full tummies, camouflage it with empire-cut dresses.
Go au naturel. This year accessories with natural materials like wood, straw and bamboo are hot. For versatility, pick one with a touch of nature yet is sleek enough for both work and weekends.
Old is the New Look. It’s time to raid mum’s closet or head on to the nearest flea market as wearing vintage is very now. When buying vintage, check buttons, stitching and fabric.

  3. FEEL HEALTHIER, LOOK BETTER!
The Weekly’s Deputy Editor, Rina Ahmad, admits she can’t resist chocolates – or anything with sugar. So she’s found some ideas to keep her sugary temptations at bay. She now tries to eat something every three to four hours to prevent drops in blood sugar levels – but she keeps her portions small to avoid extra weight gain. Read her tips in her You You You column this month.
